MUSEO DE LA RIOJA
Museum housed in the baroque Espartero palace, recounting the history of La Rioja from prehistory to the century.
Housed in the Baroque palace of Espartero (18th century) and its recently built annex, the museum traces the history of La Rioja from prehistory to the 20th century. It includes works from monasteries and convents in the region, such as the late 14th-century paintings of San Milano, the 16th-century Gothic altarpiece of Torremuña and various elements from the monastery of La Estrella. Beautiful paintings are also on display, such as this Female Nude by Gerardo Sacristán (1930) or this Landscape with Woman by José Villegas Cordero (1907).
