Interpretation center telling the story of the two martyrs, who are also Calahorra's patron saints.

For Christians, Calahorra is also the place of martyrdom of Saints Hemeterius and Celidon, two Roman soldiers who were martyred in the 3rd century. The Casa Santa interpretation centre focuses on the origins of Christianity and traces the history of the two martyrs, who are also the patron saints of Calahorra. In particular, we learn that the Emperor Constantine introduced Christianity as the official religion in 313 AD with the Edict of Milan, but that before that many Christians were persecuted, especially under the Emperor Diocletian.
