MUSEO DE LA ROMANIZACIÓN
Museum of Romanization housed in a modernist palace dating from 1930, featuring numerous relics from Roman times.
This museum, inaugurated as the Museum of Romanisation in 2009, is located in a 1930s modernist palace, known as the "Casa del Millonario" (Millionaire's House), in reference to its lucky owner who had made a fortune in the lottery (in the 1930s, the lucky man won the sum of three thousand pesetas)! It exhibits many remains from Roman times, including La Dame Calagurritana, a marble bust of a woman discovered at the Clínica site that has become the symbol of the city.
