VILLEMONT CASTLE
This castle, located in a vast park, has an imposing and romantic silhouette.
The castle was built in the 16th century, then modified and considerably enlarged in the 18th century. Destroyed by a fire of criminal origin in 1958, it fell into ruins, suffered looting and the whims of nature. Bought in the 1990's by a lover of the place, it is currently being restored. Only its interior courtyard is accessible to the public. Its imposing and romantic silhouette, located in a vast park, is however worth the detour. For more than 10 years, on the basis of an old plan, a new formal garden is being reconstituted.
