Around Santoña, this natural park covers more than 6,500 hectares, between the estuary formed by the river Asón and the Victoria and Joyel marshes. This wetland is a natural area of great ecological value, as it serves as a migratory refuge for almost 130 species of birds. Here, cliffs, beaches and dunes, estuaries and marshes coexist, so the flora is also rich. Hiking circuits are set up in the reserve to observe fauna and flora.
