PALACIO MUSEO DE ELSEDO
Museum of Contemporary Art in a beautiful rural palace in Liérganes.
The magnificent 18th-century Elsedo Palace was built by Francisco Agüero at the request of the first Count of Torre Hermosa, Francisco de Hermoza y Revilla. However, the palace was never inhabited by the family and fell into disrepair. Restored in the 1970s, it now houses a valuable museum of contemporary art. The artists exhibited in this palace lost in the Cantabrian countryside are some of the most renowned in Spain: Tàpies, Miró, Picasso, Zuloaga, Rivera, Solana... A rural and cultural escapade!
