IGLESIA DE SANTA LUCÍA
Church, inspired by the Italian Renaissance, in the heart of the city of Santander.
A small church in the heart of the city, behind the Plaza de Pombo, inspired by the Italian Renaissance. Built in the mid-19th century under the supervision of the architect Zabaleta, it was declared of cultural interest in 1987. It is a rectangular building with a single nave and open side chapels supported by pilasters. The vaults are painted with beautiful grottoes, as well as the Gothic sculpture of the Virgin and Child, dating from the end of the 18th century, and the Virgin of Victories, by Bellver.
