A pleasant peninsula with an open-air zoo and a remarkable museum in Santander.
Covering almost 25 hectares, the peninsula of La Magdalena is one of the favourite places for Santander families to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. From the entrance, a small tourist train allows you to go around the peninsula for a small fee. A "mini" zoo in the open air is home to a number of marine species, including penguins, seals and sea lions. Also worth seeing: three replica galleons, forming the Museum of Man and the Sea.
