IGLESIA SAN SALVADOR DE PRIESCA
Church with 3 naves conceived according to a basilica plan on a hill and having undergone 2 important restorations
The 9th-century church of San Salvador, nestled on a hill, is the latest of the pre-Romanesque churches. It has undergone two major restorations, resulting in the replacement of some of its original elements. It has a basilica plan with three naves separated by a triple brick arch and covered with a wooden frame. Its vaults and walls are decorated with frescoes, representing geometric, vegetal and architectural figures.
