Convent with plateresque, gothic and baroque styles and coats of arms of noble families who passed through it
Also known as the Monastery of Santa Maria Madalena, it was built between the 13th and 14th centuries and modified in the 16th century, mixing different styles: Plateresque for the façade, Gothic for the cloister and Baroque for the Carros door and the bell tower. It would have been founded by two Italians who wished to assist pilgrims. The building reveals various coats of arms of noble families who passed through the convent, such as the Castro, Balboa and Somoza families. Today, it is inhabited by monks dedicated to worship and teaching
