Door, the most famous of the cathedral, enjoying a beautiful baroque construction dating from the seventeenth century
This door, the most famous in the cathedral, is the work of Fernandez Lechuga (1611). He reused the statues of prophets and patriarchs that adorned the old Romanesque choir carved by Master Mateo. This door is only open on holy years or for very special events, such as the Jubilee of Mercy in 2015. Finally, at the top of the grand staircase, one can admire the Casa de la Parra (House of the Treasure), a beautiful baroque construction dating back to the 17th century.
