TEATRO JOFRE
3-story theater in Ferrol, pride of the inhabitants for its theatrical architecture and acoustic quality
Built in 1871, it is one of the proudest achievements of Ferrolians in terms of theatrical architecture and acoustic quality. Its facade was remodelled in 1919 and today has the appearance of an urban palace. The theatre owes its name to its patron D. Joaquín Jofre Maristany, a Ferrolian living in Buenos Aires. The interior reveals a beautiful 20th century classical decoration and consists of three floors. It is one of the most emblematic cultural venues in Ferrol, with an eclectic programme ranging from concerts to theatre and dance performances.
