In the heart of the old town and not far from the bridge crossing the Rio de Vilacoba, this small restaurant will allow you to taste the specialities of the region: corn empanadas with shells (berberechos), soups and hearty stews, all accompanied by a good local wine, such as Rioja, Ribera del Duero or Albariño. The place is well known and the regulars are numerous every day. It is true that the authenticity of the place and the quality of the welcome are undeniable complements to the quality of the meals served here.

The grandmother with the kitchen does not exist!!! on the other hand in the historic centre I recommend a restaurant that is called El Gordo, it is run by French with an original decor and a good menu. The service is pleasant. I recommend the typical dishes including Raixo, squid and pulpo,
