FÊTE DE L'ALBARIÑO
Go there and contact
The city celebrates the Albariño, the local white wine, with concerts, parades and a beautiful fireworks display.
This festival dedicated to the local wine has its origin in a challenge launched by two winegrower friends to find the best Albariño. The first competition was organised in 1953, which gave birth to this festival, which is now very popular. It welcomes nearly 40,000 visitors a year, who come to taste this white wine of controlled designation Rías Baxas. Wine tasting and sales, folklore groups and parades of the cofradías (brotherhoods), whose cape was designed by the Spanish designer Adolfo Dominguez, end with a beautiful fireworks display.
