TOJA ISLAND
An aristocratic enclave with a starry palace that offers a tour to discover circuses buried behind the pines
The small island of La Toja, linked by a Belle Epoque bridge, is an aristocratic enclave with a 5-star palace. At the entrance to the grand hotel, a pretty little chapel is covered with scallops. The tour of the peninsula will make you discover some coves buried behind the pines. At the foot of the village, the famous Lanzada beach stretches for several kilometres. From Sanxenxo, take the 550 to Samieira and then the small road to Meaño, to arrive at the monastery of La Armenteira, a beautiful example of Cistercian Romanesque art.
