RUINS OF SANTO DOMINGO
Ruins of the church built by the Dominicans, which today houses one of the buildings of the Provincial Museum in Pontevedra
Built by the Dominicans in the 14th and 15th centuries, the only thing that remains of this church is its chevet, with its five apses. It was once the largest Dominican church in Galicia, but was abandoned in the 19th century and left in a state of ruin. Today it houses one of the buildings of the Provincial Museum. It exhibits, among other objects, religious sculptures, tombs of local historical figures, architectural remains and heraldic works of the noble families of the city and the province.
