OPERA (NHA HAT LON THANH PHÔ HÔ CHI MINH)
Opera-theatre, built in 1895 and inaugurated in 1900, with a façade inspired by that of the Petit Palais in Paris.
The theatre was built in 1895 on the plans of J.V. Guichard and E. Ferret and opened in 1900 in the presence of Prince Waldemar of Denmark. Its façade is inspired by that of the Petit Palais in Paris. The building had a mobile ceiling and could accommodate up to 800 people. The Government of the South had established the National Assembly. Since 1975, he has regained his original function. In 1998, the building was restored to the 300 th anniversary of the city of Saigon.
