A beautifully appointed museum of traditional Vietnamese medicine, featuring numerous documents and ancient utensils.
Traditional Vietnamese medicine is of very high antiquity, as historical evidence indicates that as early as the 2nd century BC, the country's inhabitants were familiar with the use of hundreds of medicinal plants. According to the Ministry of Health, there are 1,800 plants in Vietnam today for medicinal use. The museum, nicely arranged, presents many documents and utensils (some dating from the Stone Age!) of this traditional pharmacopoeia.
