HÀNG DUONG CEMETERY
Cemetery where several thousand prisoners, executed or killed as a result of the terrible conditions of captivity, are laid to rest
In this cemetery lie, often anonymously, several thousand prisoners executed or died on the island due to the terrible conditions of captivity. The grave of a young girl, Vo Thi Sau (1933-1952), executed by the French, is noteworthy. Very early in the Resistance, she died at the age of 19 and gave her name to many streets in Vietnamese cities. His tomb is the one that receives the most tributes, incense sticks for heroin but also mirrors and combs, symbols of a very young girl mowed down at the height of her youth.
