TIÊN CHÂU PAGODA
A pagoda with a majestic interior brimming with ancient religious objects, most of which date from the century.
It is located on the island of An Binh, (Long Ho district, Vinh Long province). It is the oldest pagoda in the province. Its name ("Pagoda of the Fairy Shore") comes from a legend that fairies bathe here at night. At the end of the 19th century, the pagoda was severely damaged. It was later restored (in 1889) and then damaged again by the Vietnam War. In 1994, it was recognized as a national monument. The interior is majestic and full of ancient religious objects, mostly from the 19th century.
