TEMPLE OF THE GODDESS XU (MIEU BA CHUA XU)
Temple housing a statue of a man believed to represent the Hindu deity Shiva.
After the Tay An pagoda, on the right. Temple built in 1820, its current version dates from 1972. Many Vietnamese come to pay homage to him, especially during the pilgrimage, on the 22nd day of the 4th lunar month (April and May), during 4 days. The statue, dated from the 7th century, probably of Khmer origin, is made of black sandstone. Very dilapidated, it represents a man who would be a figuration of the Hindu deity Shiva. The statue is richly decorated according to the seasons and festivals.
