In 2014 and 2015, the airport underwent a period of work to extend the runway and renovate the terminal building. Today, this has paid off and it is a pleasant place from which to continue your journey by air. Daily flights connect Dà Nang, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam Airlines. Pleiku airport also serves the nearby city of Kontum (50 km north of Pleiku), a destination that can be reached by bus, but also faster by plane if your travel time does not allow for long, time-consuming journeys.
