LONG SON PAGODA
This pagoda is worth a visit for its exterior walls adorned with mosaics depicting dragons and for the view of the hill.
At 2 km from the cathedral, a white statue of Buddha protects the city. It surmounts the pagodas of Hai Duc and Long Son. The latter, whose modern interior has little charm, is nevertheless worth a visit, for its exterior walls decorated with mosaics representing dragons and for the view of the hill. On the right, a large staircase leads to the top of the hill. On the last steps, a waving dragon welcomes the pilgrim. One is greeted by a gigantic Buddha sitting serenely on his lotus flower. On the left, we see the monks' cemetery.
