Museum showing the library and office of Dr. Yersin, the principal physician of the French Colonial Corps.

Founded in 1895 by Dr. Yersin. In 1904, the Institute was attached to the Saigon Institute. Today it is a microbiology, virology and epidemiology laboratory. In the museum you can see the library and Dr. Yersin's office. Alexander Yersin discovered the plague bacillus in Hong Kong in 1897. He was senior medical officer of the Colonial Corps. He died at the age of 80 and was buried in Suoi Dau (18 km southwest of Nha Trang) where he owned a 1,000 ha concession.
