This oceanographic institute boasts the largest collection of living samples in the South China Sea.
Founded in 1922, this oceanographic institute is concerned with the protection of marine life. The structure obviously suffers from too little funding. Officially, "the Nha Trang Oceanographic Institute Museum has the largest collection of samples of living creatures from the East Sea (South China Sea)". Here you will discover living specimens from the Vietnamese sea as well as from more distant countries. To be seen: the big basin and its sharks as well as whale skeletons.
