LONG DUONG CHAM TEMPLES (IVORY TOWERS)
Three Cham towers erected in the century, their architecture and massive proportions reflect a strong Khmer influence.
This site allows you to discover three towers built in the 12th century. The architecture and massive proportions reflect a strong Khmer influence, which is explained by the fact that under the reign of the Angkorian ruler Jaya Indravarmadeva (1203-1220), the Campa had been de facto vassalized. Binh Dinh's style tends to imitate Angkor's. The statues and bas-reliefs found on the site, of very fine workmanship, testify that it was an important religious centre.
