PHUC KIEN COMMUNITY HOUSE (FUJIAN)
Communal house, part of which has been converted into a temple dedicated to Thien Hau, goddess of the sea and protector of sailors.
It is the meeting place of the most important congregation of Hôi An. Part of it has been transformed into a temple dedicated to Thien Hau, goddess of the sea and protector of sailors. On the back wall are painted the six portraits of the first six families from Fujian, who arrived in Hoi An in the 17th century, after the end of the Ming Dynasty. On the right is a model of a Chinese ship. The last altar is dedicated to the god of prosperity.
