During the Vietnam War, the airport, built by the Americans, was one of the busiest in the region. Today, it is the country's3rd largest international airport. It has been modernized, equipped with a lighting system and an automatic guidance system, making it capable of handling any aircraft, day or night. Daily flights to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Also flights to Pleiku, Vinh, Dà Lat, Seoul, Singapore, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hong Kong or Doha.
