DIEM PHUNG THI MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART
This French artist, who studied with the sculptor Volti, has donated her sculptures to the city of Hué.
Inaugurated in 1994, this foundation is a high place of Hue culture. Diem Phung Thi (1920-2002) discovered his vocation in Paris at the age of 39 and abandoned his profession as a dentist to study with the sculptor Volti. She starts by working with earth and wood, then stone and marble which she sculpts according to simple and removable shapes. Of French nationality, the artist returned in 1992 to live in Vietnam where she donated her work to the city of Huê.
