CUONG TEMPLE
Temple atop Mount Mo Da, where King An Duong Vuong is said to have stabbed his daughter, My Châu, before rushing into the sea.
Located 35 km north of Vinh, the temple is perched atop Mount Mo Da. It was here that King Thuc An Duong Vuong (successor to the Hung kings, one of the country's founders) is said to have stabbed his daughter, My Châu, before plunging into the sea. This two-storey temple commemorates this episode. Built in the Chinese character tam (three), it comprises three parallel residences. On the roofs, lions run and two dragons gaze at the moon. Situated on the main road, this site is well worth a visit.
