DINH DONG LAC (COMMUNAL SILK HOUSE)
Today, this house houses the Hanoia boutique, which sells beautiful handicrafts made from traditional lacquer.
Built during the reign of the Le (17th century), the communal house(dinh) of Dong Lac was dedicated to the guardian geniuses of the city, Cao Son (south), Linh Lang (west) and Bach Ma (east). In 2010, as part of a cooperation agreement, the cities of Hanoi and Toulouse are implementing a new project to restore the building. The building now houses the Hanoia shop, where beautiful handcrafted objects made of traditional lacquer are sold.
