VILLA SCHNEIDER
A colonial villa in an exceptional location, built in 1898 and now part of the Chu Van An high school.
This magnificent colonial villa enjoys an exceptional location on the south shore of the West Lake. It was built in 1898 for Henri Schneider, a rich businessman who, in 1893, created a paper mill. In 1913, this became the Société des papeteries de l'Indochine. Decorated with stucco sculptures (angels' heads, dragons...), the villa was restored in 1999 thanks to the support of the Ile-de-France region. The villa is now part of the Chu Van An high school. French-speaking activities take place there nowadays.
