COLOUR CEREMONY
The color ceremony of the Vietnamese flag, recognizable by its golden star, takes place every day in Ba Dinh Square.
Ba Dinh is the nation's place of arms, where the country's independence was proclaimed on September 2, 1945. Every day, the colors are raised(keo co) at 6:30 am (6 am in summer) and lowered(ha co) at 9 pm. The colors signify the Vietnamese flag, recognizable by its golden star. Every hour, the guard changes in front of Hô-Chi-Minh's mausoleum. This square is much frequented by locals and tourists alike, who enjoy its calm - it's far from the heart of the capital - and its coolness.
