UNIVERSITY OF FINE ARTS OF VIET NAM
The former Indochina School of Fine Arts trained talented artists, including painters, architects and sculptors.
In 1925, Victor Tardieu took charge of the École des beaux-arts de l'Indochine, created on his initiative and with the collaboration of his friend, the painter Nguyên Van Tho, known as Nam Son. It produced some of the world's most talented painters, including Mai Thu (1890-1973), Bui Xuân Phai (1920-1988), Nguyên Gia Tri (1908-1993) and Lê Phô (1907-2001). It became the University of Fine Arts of Vietnam in 1945, and has never ceased to train talented artists.
