During this festival, the citadel of Cô Loa is the scene of spectacular processions and numerous religious rites.
In Cô Loa, 16 km north of Hanoi, this festival is celebrated in honor of King An Duong Vuong, who reigned from 214 to 208 B.C., creator of the kingdom of Âu Lac and of the citadel of Cô Loa. The citadel is then the scene of spectacular processions and many religious rites. The visitors can attend the procession of the invocation of the 12 hamlets and the 7 fraternal villages, traditional shows at night and popular games during the day: chess with human pawns, cockfights, rice cooking contests, ritual dances..
