HAIPHONG MUSEUM
Housed in a superb colonial building, this museum displays objects, documents, photos and more relating to the history of Haiphong.
The city's municipal museum, called Bao Tàng Hai Phong in Vietnamese, is housed in a superb colonial mansion dating from 1919. In the seventeen rooms covering a total area of 1,300m2 are exhibited many objects, documents, photos and others, related to the history of Haiphong. Three main themes emerge: the prehistory and topography of the city, the struggle of the people of Haiphong before May 13, 1955, and the reform and construction of socialism from 1955 to the present. Renovated in 2022. A museum that is well worth a visit.
