Viêtnam Airlines operates flights to Hanoi and Haiphong, and Vietjet Airways to HCMC. Major works in 2023 saw the runway extended and widened to 2,400 metres in length and 45 metres in width to accommodate Airbus A-320 aircraft. New security fencing has also been installed, and the terminal facilities have been modernized. Foreign tourists are subject to stringent security checks before leaving the airport.
