This bridge over the Nâm Rôm river, 40 m long and 5 m wide, was a temporary structure built in France.
The bridge, which was recently shortened to accommodate a market, spans the Nâm Rôm river. This temporary structure was built in France, then transported and assembled on site at the end of 1953, as part of the French development work, to allow the passage of 18-ton tanks. After the victory of May 7 1954, soldiers of the Vietnamese People's Army crossed the bridge and seized the French headquarters.
