The origin of the name comes from the French "cascade", as the village is home to a small waterfall, which over time became Catscat, then Cat Cat. The village may be cute, but the traditional way of life has been transformed into a commercial enterprise with a hefty entrance fee, which entitles you to wander the alleyways and buy items offered by the locals... In short, a superfluous visit unfortunately...
