Fansipan, the highest peak in Vietnam and Indochina, can be reached by funicular and cable car from Sapa.
The summit of Fansipan (3,143 m), the "roof of Indochina", is now part of an attraction called Sunworld Fansipan, where spectacular views await you. The funicular leads to the impressive cable car. The nature park has become an amusement park for young and old alike. You'll find a gigantic statue of Buddha watching over the valley, a statue of Quan Âm, various pagodas and, of course, restaurants. The summit can be reached by a pleasant walk or by taking a second funicular.
