This tourist train(tau du lich) has been upgraded to offer improved services: cabins with 2 or 4 berths (compared with 6 in normal trains), sleeping facilities, dedicated staff... Depart Hanoi at 10pm, arriving in Lao Cai at 5.55am. Departure from Lao Cai at 9:30pm for arrival in Hanoi at 5:25am. The website provides a wealth of information, including fares and ticket offices. Not to mention information on what to do during your stay and which sites not to miss!
