Dr. Cyril Adler gathered here all the instruments of medicine, the tools of babylonians. Tribute was paid to Professor Barnard, who performed the first heart transplant in 1967 in Cape Town. Traditional African medicine is not forgotten. The museum has hundreds of specialized works, some dating back to 1535.
