In nature, everything happens. Thus Michael Rattray, owner of the world's most famous reserve, Mala Mala, noted from year to year that the water level of the Sand River fell. A terrible show at the foot of its Main Camp on the edge of Kruger Park, more than kilometres from Lydenburg. On a regular basis, wild animals were due to lack of water. Verdict of specialists: intensive breeding on heights decreases the flow of rivers. In 1990, Michael Rattray purchased 8 000 hectares of land at an altitude (2 000 m) and removed livestock to replace him with wild animals (elk, zebras, oribis, koudous, leopards). The ecosystem balance is restored. The ranch welcomes the very generous fishing enthusiasts who come here in search of yet. You can make horse, pigeon fire or go to the old gold mine (1871). But it is fishing that motivates the visitor first.
