The captain is a wealthy Afrikaner with a passion for the protection of nature: Kapama is the culmination of his fight for the survival of endangered species and the development of protected natural areas. This reserve with very cut-out contours shelters a very large number of animals. In fact, the part on which Kapama Lodge is located is quite distinct from the Buffalo's: a public trail runs between the two fenced sections. As a result, this small area has a concentration of rarely seen wildlife.
