A museum in Polokwane to learn more about the daily life of the Bakoni tribe of Matlala.
A traditional village in Northern Sotho, created on 126 hectares of land by members of the Bakoni tribe of Matlala. The huts, grouped in lapa for the chief's three wives, are built of acacia wood. It is a real reconstruction of the daily life of the tribe: traditional fire making, beer brewing, corn grinding, pottery, wood carving, weaving, pottery, traditional basketry. A beautiful sample of the local art of living.
