Cave where archaeologists have found Bushmen paintings, old pollen, bones and teeth of a species of horse.
Wonderwerk Cave is like a museum carved out of the rock. It's here that archaeologists have found Bochiman paintings over 8,000 years old, pollen 400,000 years old, bones and a few teeth of a species of horse, now extinct. For the record, a white family of eleven boys and three girls still lived in this cave in the early 20th century. If you'd like to spend the night in the area, you'll find a campsite nearby, as well as family cottages.
