CAPE COLOMBINA LIGHTHOUSE
A lighthouse classified as a nature reserve, offering a prodigious view of the village, the peninsula and the wild Atlantic coast.
At 5 km from Paternoster, this white lighthouse built in 1936 stands on the horizon. Before this date, shipwrecks on this South African coast were fatal and many victims were stranded there. Today, the beautiful Cape Colombine peninsula and its eponymous lighthouse are classified as a nature reserve. The interest here is that the lighthouse can be visited, even if a keeper still lives there. At the top, you have a beautiful view of the village, the peninsula and the wild Atlantic coast. A pleasant trip in the open air!
