WUPPERTHAL MISSION
Magnificent climbing trail leading to Wupperthal via part of the Cederberg nature reserve and two passes.
At the beginning of Clanwilliam, this magnificent track climbs the Pakhuis Pass (905 m), crosses part of the Naturelle nature reserve and crosses two passes before reaching Wupperthal, the mission founded by the Rhine in 1830, now under the tutelage of the Moravienne Church. In August and September you will pass through fields of flowers on the way. This very isolated mission manufactures veldskoen (Veld shoes). There are two very affordable self catering cottages.
