Long, hot roads take you to Wupperthal and Vanrhynsdorp, crossing the Botterkloof Pass and Vanrhyns Pass.
From Soetwater, we recommend the R364 via the Botterkloof Pass and Doringbos to Clanwilliam; an opportunity to visit the Wupperthal mission. Long and hot road, but we don't regret the escape. To the west, the R27 leads you to Vanrhynsdorp via the Vanrhyns Pass.
Adventurers will head up to Fraserburg to see the footprints of large prehistoric lizards, or Williston to discover the curious corbelled houses of the white pioneers of the area.
