CAMISSA
Eco-solidarity agency, directed and co-managed according to the Black Economic Empowerment, specialized in cultural towers in the townships, which favours authentic meetings with local populations. A rich and interesting journey will help to discover the lives of the Xhosa and Métis people in Cape Town. The inhabitants open the door to their house and tell you their experiences of life, their traditions and customs. For a few hours they are sharing their daily newspapers (walking in the street, visiting the school, meeting with friends, stop at the Shebben, sharing a barbecue, veritable South African braai).
Different types of tours are proposed, "The Camissa township tower" takes you from District Six to Gugulethu by passing through Bonteheuwel and Langa. Other courses allow Robben Island to be combined with the visit of a township, discover economic life, play soccer with young people or listen to gospel in a church on Sunday.
